Erin Mihalka is a versatile musician and performer who is passionate about opera, rock music, live performance, comedy, and using her songwriting as a way to connect with others in difficult times. Erin graduated from CalArts in 2023 with a BFA in VoiceArts and currently teaches guitar, piano, and voice in LA. For her, opera is the most grounding and freeing way to sing, and rock music is the most authentic way to express herself through writing. She is inspired by 20th-century musicians like Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, Heart, and more contemporary artists like Miley Cyrus, Haim, Harry Styles, and Tame Impala. She writes rock/pop songs that sound nostalgic, earnest, and melancholic. Her vocals are often compared to Pat Benatar’s. She is thrilled to have released her first rock album in July 2025 —  a collection of songs about a young girl who falls in love with an abusive partner. Erin’s goal is to inspire people in abusive relationships not to give up. Sometimes things seem like the end of the world, but life keeps moving, and things get better. She also loves comedy and improv, believing—like music—that they hold a unique power to bring people together. Erin performs her original music with her band throughout LA. Erin performed all the vocals and guitar parts on her record.
